Regional Powers Back US-Iran Talks, Encouraging Technological Collaboration.

In a significant diplomatic gathering in Cairo, foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye expressed their backing for the ongoing dialogue between the United States and Iran. The high-ranking officials, including Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, convened under a four-country consultation framework to discuss regional peace efforts.

The meeting focused on the latest developments in the Middle East, particularly the initiatives aimed at easing regional tensions through diplomatic avenues. The ministers reviewed the progress following the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran and examined the security situation in Lebanon, emphasizing the necessity of sustained coordination to avert further instability.

In a collective statement, the four nations reiterated their robust support for the US-Iran negotiation process. They underscored the potential of successful talks to enhance regional security, foster stability, and diminish conflicts across the Middle East. Highlighting the critical nature of diplomacy, the ministers called for increased international collaboration to tackle the region’s challenges effectively.

Subsequent to the discussions, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the foreign ministers, commending the strengthened cooperation among the participating countries. He acknowledged Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye as pivotal players in ensuring regional security and emphasized the importance of supporting the US-Iran agreement’s implementation and the negotiation process’s success.
