Oman, Qatar Explore Boosting Tech and Innovation in Economic Cooperation

Oman and Qatar are taking significant steps toward enhancing their economic ties, with a particular focus on broadening collaboration across key sectors. In a recent meeting at the Invest Oman lounge, Omani ministers Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri and Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali engaged in discussions with Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani. Their talks centered on identifying new avenues for bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic, commercial, industrial, and investment spheres.

The meeting explored several areas crucial to both nations, including trade, investment, industry, transport, logistics, and modern technologies. Both countries expressed a strong desire to increase mutual investments and promote the development of joint projects through private-sector partnerships. The dialogue highlighted the potential for economic growth by tapping into promising sectors that could benefit both economies.

A key component of the discussions was the emphasis on strengthening coordination between business communities and government entities in both Oman and Qatar. This collaboration aims to facilitate greater trade and investment flows, which are vital for supporting economic diversification and enhancing competitiveness. Such efforts are seen as crucial for both countries as they seek to bolster their economic resilience and growth.
