Oman’s State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority actively took part in the 27th conference of Deputy Heads of GCC Audit and Accounting Institutions, which was conducted through a videoconference. During the meeting, the participants delved into several key initiatives aiming to enhance the region’s auditing and accounting frameworks.
A significant focus of the discussions was the preparation for the 7th GCC Competition for Research and Studies in Auditing and Accounting. Additionally, there was a proposal to create an AI-powered platform to streamline the committee’s work and its outcomes, highlighting an innovative step towards integrating technology in their operations.
Moreover, the participants took the opportunity to review the recommendations stemming from previous research competitions. They also engaged in discussions about the training programs that are scheduled for 2025 and 2026, ensuring continuous advancement in the skills and knowledge of professionals in the field.
The officials also focused on planning for the upcoming meeting of the heads of GCC audit institutions. They outlined the agenda and deliberated on activities planned for the forthcoming GCC Financial and Administrative Audit Week, which aims to bolster regional cooperation in public auditing and financial oversight.
