As Jordan prepares to mark its 80th Independence Day, the nation’s Minister of Government Communication, Mohammad Momani, emphasized the enduring and robust relationship between Jordan and Qatar. He expressed that both countries are eager to expand their cooperation across various sectors to bring mutual benefits to their citizens.

Momani highlighted the importance of Jordan’s partnership with Qatar, stressing the kingdom’s commitment to enhancing collaboration in political, economic, and developmental areas. This commitment, he noted, is part of a broader strategy to strengthen ties that align with the interests of both nations.

Reflecting on Jordan’s journey since achieving independence, Momani underscored the kingdom’s steadfast dedication to supporting pivotal Arab causes, with a particular focus on the Palestinian issue. He also reaffirmed Jordan’s ongoing role in protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, highlighting the country’s influence in regional stability.

Independence Day holds significant meaning for Jordan, symbolizing resilience and stability amidst regional challenges. Momani pointed out that despite these challenges, Jordan has continued to bolster its constitutional and democratic institutions. The nation’s commitment to reform and modernization is evident in its efforts to improve public services, advance development, and enhance the welfare of its citizens.
